Smashed window pane. Does Home Depot repair windows?

My bedroom window is smashed. I have removed the window from the track and removed the glass shards.

Does Home Depot fix broken windows if I bring it in to the store? Or should I try to find another place that fixes windows. I would prefer Home Depot since it is much closer and convenient. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just call a window replacement place or a place such as Binswanger glass. It is pretty easy to do yourself. All you need to do is measure the opening/take the window pane to the window/glass place, pry up the molding, place the new piece of glass in and carefully retack the molding into place. I had to do this a few times cause my kids were throwing wild at the house.

You can purchase single thickness glass at HD(they don`t install), but chances are you may need insulated(double thickness). If so you may have to contact a glass distributor. Check your Yellow pages.

Home Depot will not replace the glass. Measure the size of the piece of glass needed and contact a local glass company. They can either come out and take care of it for you or help you replace with a new piece.
Good luck, ;-)
